According to Yonhap News,

On November 11, Daegu-si announced that it will host the "Korea International Water Week 2025 (KIWW 2025)" at EXCO in Buk-gu on November 12-15, in collaboration with the Ministry of Environment, Korea Water Resources Corporation (K-water), and the Korea Environment Corporation.

Representatives from overseas cities in the water sector, as well as experts from academia and institutions, will participate to share and discuss water-related policies and technologies.

Among the 51 programs held during the event, Daegu will run two key programs: the "World Water Cities Forum" and the "Daegu Water Industry Forum."

The World Water Cities Forum will involve 9 cities from 12 countries, including Mikkeli (Finland), Kumamoto (Japan), Dhaka (Bangladesh), and Kwara (Nigeria), along with 8 organizations such as the Indonesian Water Association and the World Water Council (WWC).

The forum will be divided into public-sector sessions focusing on water management policies and city-to-city cooperation for climate crisis response, and private-sector sessions focusing on the overseas expansion of smart water technologies.

In the private-sector session, the Daegu National Water Industry Cluster's tenant companies and 6 local water companies will showcase their core technologies and products.

Before the World Water Cities Forum, Daegu will sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Indonesian Water Association to cooperate in the water industry.

The Daegu Water Industry Forum will focus on discussing policies for the promotion of the water industry and development strategies, with participation from academia, research institutes, and businesses.

During the International Water Week, an exhibition will be held with 71 institutions and companies showcasing tap water production and supply, industrial water facilities and services, and more.

Other activities will include export consultations with overseas buyers and presentations on new products and technologies.

Daegu-si will also set up a promotional booth to showcase key water-related policies.
