According to Yonhap News,
On November 27th, Daegu-si announced that it had signed an investment agreement worth KRW 50.3 billion with ISU Petasys, a local semiconductor company.
Under the agreement, ISU Petasys plans to establish a drill process facility for the production of Multi-Layer Printed Circuit Board (MLB) at its existing factory in the Dalseong 2nd Industrial Complex, with mass production scheduled to begin in January 2026.
ISU Petasys decided to make this investment in response to the rapid increase in demand for Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs), a component related to MLB, driven by the spread of generative artificial intelligence (AI).
In addition, last year, the company committed to investing KRW 300 billion to establish a fifth factory in the Dalseong 1st Industrial Complex, continuing its investment partnership with Daegu-si.
With these two investments, ISU Petasys aims to maximize production efficiency and achieve a revenue of approximately KRW 1.5 trillion by 2030.
