According to Yonhap News,

Daegu Gyeongbuk Free Economic Zone (DGFEZ) Authority said on February 23rd that it would hold an investment seminar for CEOs of Canadian companies which operate their business in Korea at Grand Ambassador Seoul on February 24th.

DGFEZ Authority plans to explain the investment environment of DGFEZ and ask for aggressive investment to about 60 CEOs at the event, jointly hosted by the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Korea.

Also, DGFEZ Authority will present its ‘Global Business 4 Corridors’ strategy aimed to nurture the IT convergence, high-tech components and materials, green energy, and knowledge service industries, considering that Canada’s automotive components, aviation, and fuel cell industries are advanced. Excellent industrial infrastructure and human resources of Daegu and Gyeongbuk will be introduced at the event.

An official of the Authority said “we will build a network with Canadian companies, which are in the four major industries of Daegu and Gyeongbuk and have the potential to invest in Korea, and provide tailored consultations to make sure that those companies make investment in DGFEZ.”
