According to Yonhap News,

Daegu City signed a cooperation agreement with the Ministry of Environment to operate the Eco Smart Water Supply System.

The Ministry of Environment agreed to invest a total of 47.3 billion won to upgrade purification plants and support Korean companies to advance into the overseas water market.

"Overseas water market has grown an average of 6.5 percent annually. We will cooperate with private companies to boost the export of the water industry," said Kim Sang-jun, a Daejeon official in charge of water supply project.
