Daegu International Food Industry Exhibition begins on Thursday at Daegu Exhibition and Convention Center (EXCO).
This year's exhibition is classified into five areas including processing and functional food, traditional and imported alcohol, food franchise, coffee and desert, and school food and packaging equipment industries.
About 170 food-related businesses operate 350 booths to offer updated information on the food industry and display their various products.
Fourteen companies from seven countries including Japan, Taiwan and China also participate in the event, operating 30 booths at the international exhibition center.
"This is a good opportunity to watch various food products representing each region. I hope many citizens would visit and enjoy the exhibition," said Kim Hyeong-il, a Daegu official in charge of distribution of agricultural products.
