According to Yonhap News,

Daegu-Gyeongbuk Medical Innovative Foundation (DGMIF) concluded a joint-research agreement Monday with the Korea Food Research Institute.

According to the agreement, both sides will conduct a joint-study on convergence of food and cutting-edge medical equipment, exchange human resources and share academic and technological information for development of the medical industry.

"The partnership between the two institutions is expected to make substantial academic achievements in a new field through convergence of food and medical equipment," said Kim Yu-seung, chairman of DGMIF.
