The Daegu Fashion Fair 2012 was held at the Daegu Exhibition Convention Center and the Fashion Center of the Korea Research Institute Fashion Industry (KRIFI) for three days from last Wednesday. The fair was co-hosted by Daegu City and the Ministry of Knowledge Economy and co-organized by the KRIFI and the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Fashion Industry Cooperative Federation.
This year's fair was held under theme of "New Exhibition Venue for Fashion & Culture," with about 140 fashion-related businesses having participated to operate 210 booths.
The fair provided practical supports for participating companies by having given them opportunities to meet foreign buyers via prior one-to-one matching program.
In addition, nine regional fashion brands and four foreign brands launched fashion shows at the grand hall of the fashion center.
The Mobile Fashion Show, a venue where customers could meet online shopping mall operators off-line, and a natural fabric dying event were also held on the sideline of the fair.
