Daegu Technopark (TP) operated Tech Zone at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), the world's largest consumer technology event, to support nine domestic companies.

Out of the nine mobile and IT companies, four are Daegu-si (City) and Gyeongsangbuk-do (Province)-based companies. The nine companies displayed various products including smart mobile devices, displays and home network appliances, provided 419 consulting services worth USD 29.52 million and concluded USD 240,000-contacts with American companies.

MAP Tech, a Daegu-based manufacturer of m-cloud, a tilted wireless charger, signed a USD 75,000 contract with the U.S.-based Energizer Battery Company.

The charger enables mobile phone users to talk over the phone while the battery is charging wirelessly and prevents battery overcharging by automatically blocking power after 330 minutes.

The company is also in negotiation with a worldwide mobile company for a USD 5 million-supply contract, according to Daegu TP.

Another Daegu-based company IT HEALTH's products, including the delivery blackbox system and smart phone-based sensor for patients, also gained much attention.
