Daegu and the Daegu Gyeongbuk Medical Innovation Foundation (DGMIF) have launched a task force to attract companies to Medivalley.

The task force, headed by Kim Yeon-chang, Vice Mayor for Economic Affairs of Daegu, has been joined by 15 organizations, including the Korea Institute for Robot Industry Advancement, the Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute, and the Korea Institute of Industrial Technology. It has launched various activities, such as the publishing of guidebooks about benefits for companies moving into Medivalley, setting up a company support system, and developing incentives.

Daegu has signed contracts with 16 firms since last June, when it began selling lots in Medivalley.

“The cooperation of Daegu and DGMIF will create synergy in promoting investment,” said Kim.
