Daegu-Gyeongbuk Free Economic Zone Authority (DGFEZ) announced last Thursday that a forum to enhance cooperation for automotive industry between Korea and Israel will be held today.

The forum will hold business consultations and seminar sessions which will cover investment environment in Daegu and North Gyeongsan Province, Hyundai Motor’s parts policies, Israeli automotive industry.

Isralei automotive companies, six partnering companies including Hyundai Motors and Hyundai Mobis, and 20 automotive companies from Daegu and North Gyeongsang Province will participate the forum.

The forum jointly hosted by DGFEZ and the Embassy of the State of Israel is expected to create many business opportunities. Regional investment through joint ventures will be another achievement in the mid- and long-term.

Commissioner of DGFEZ Choi Byung-rok stated that it serves as a good opportunity to promote Daegu and North Gyeongsang Province’s automotive industry and infrastructure to Israeli companies. He added that DGFEZ plans to actively encourage Israeli companies to invest and support new opportunities including joint ventures.
