Daegu Gyeongbuk Free Economic Zone Authority (DGFEZA) and the Turkey European free economic zone authority in Istanbul signed a memorandum of understanding for investment promotion Monday in Istanbul.

DGFEZA held a session to share information in promoting foreign-invested companies with officials from Turkey who visited last May.

With signing of the MOU, a follow-up measure, economic exchanges between two regions are expected to be facilitated.

DGFEZA noted that it is important for Turkey and Korea to apply each other’s geographical advantage in Europe and Northeast Asia, adding that cooperation will be promoted in various areas, including the steel and automobile industry.
