(DAEGU = Yonhap News) Daegu Mechatronics & Materials Institute (DMI) announced on January 1 that its “small and medium enterprises (SMEs) support group” has made a significant contribution to resolving technological difficulties of the SMEs.
The support group comprises retired experts and researchers and focuses on strengthening the competitiveness of SMEs and fostering the high-tech industry.
The support group has been assigned to provide about 170 advisory services to 74 businesses in the Daegu 3rd Industrial Complex, Seongseo Industrial Complex, Dalseong Industrial Complex and West Daegu Industrial Complex.
As a result, a considerable number of businesses have gained positive outcomes in sales and productivity.
“Many SMEs more struggle to resolve various technological difficulties in the field than solve the high-tech problems. We will focus our effort to provide technological aids to SMEs to further our local industrial development,” said Kim Jeong-tae, Director of DMI.
