(DAEGU = Yonhap News) The 12th Tour Expo Daegu Gyeongbuk will be held from April 24 to 27 at Daegu EXCO.

The event is hosted by the city of Daegu and Gyeongsangbuk-do aiming to vitalize the local tourism industry. More than 210 businesses from 30 countries including Korea will participate in the event and provide information about their countries’ tourism attractions.

The exhibition hall comprises local tourism section, overseas tourism section, special section for sister cities, medical tourism section, B2B travel mart and more.

Main programs include World Food Festival, Traditional Folklore Performances, Traditional Customs Experience and more.. Tourism service contest, tourism story-telling contest, tourism product information session and Daegu Tourism Forum will also be held during the period.

Opening hours are between 10:00 A.M. to 6 P.M.

“We expect more than 70,000 visitors this year,” said a city official. “The city of Daegu and Gyeongsangbuk-do will cooperate to provide substantial programs and attract more participants from overseas.”
