(DAEGU=NEWSIS)Daegu Gyeongbuk Institute of Science & technology (DGIST) announced September 4 that the institute has opened a high confidence CPS research center.

The research center will receive KRW 16 billion from the Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning to develop CPS source technology by 2022, which strengthens the social infrastructure including national defense, energy and transportation systems when faced with system errors or attacked from outside.

“The outlook is that the embedded technology market will worth more than KRW 200 trillion at the point when the research ends, bringing an enormous economic effect. We will lead the CPS research sector to build a safe future society by cooperating with the CPS global center, “said a DGIST official.
