(DAEGU=NEWSIS) The Waterworks Headquarters Daegu Metropolitan City announced June 5 that it will install a 3.2 MW solar generator to the water supply facilities including the Jukgok water filtration plant and five reservoirs in Bugok, Igok, Chilgok, Seobyeon and Ansim.

The project will be carried out by private investment, which will capitalize on the renewable portfolio standard. The project developer is Halla E&C and has been selected through a public bid.

The Waterworks Headquarters expects to create KRW 746 million of profit through rent for the next 14 years and save KRW 473 million of utility bills for 14 years as it will receive 253 KW of solar energy for the rent of Jukgok water filtration plant.
