According to Yonhap News,

The city of Gwangju made an official announcement of the inauguration of its special task force, in charge of the local energy planning on Jan. 7. This control tower will push ahead with multiple initiatives for the city energy conversion and business model development.

Members of the TF, Gwangju Metropolitan Council, KEPCO, KEPCO KDN, Gwangju Technopark, Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education and Chonnam National University etc., will have an in-depth conversation to set up municipal energy business policies and to advance energy business model applicable to the local community.

The mayor of the city said “Energy business is an essential part not only for local economy but for sustainable growth to make the nation as a whole more competent.”, “We, the city of Gwangju, will find more active roles we can play to further advance the industry, combining artificial intelligence technology.” he added.
