The city of Gwangju signed an MOU to build up industry base to turn the city into the vanguard in artificial intelligence technology with its counterparts IWAZ, Piolink and Hankisul on Aug 12. They all reached a consensus to make commitment to form the AI ecosystem within the city community by incorporating separate business entities and local offices.

IWAZ is a search engine developer. Piolink is a network and security solution provider, developing technologies ranging from application delivery controller to cloud service security switch.

Hankisul has advanced technologies applicable to wire (or wireless) network solutions and AI systems integration, which allows individual software components to be interoperable with each other.
