GFEZ signed a partnership deal with KOTRA’s Invest KOREA to spur investment

Gwangju Free Economic Zone (GFEZ) which opened in January this year has kick started FDI promotion activities in cooperation with Invest KOREA of Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA). By signing an MOU on Apr 15, both GFEZ and Invest KOREA reached a consensus to work together to form investment delegates and task force, host promotion campaigns and pitch events, jointly identify potential investors interested in running business in Korea and to develop education /training courses to attract foreign investment.

“We’ll give a boost to GFEZ’s efforts to help global companies armed with technological expertise move in and create synergy with businesses in the city of Gwangju.” Chang Sang-hyun, the head of Invest KOREA said.

Invest KOREA is Korea's investment promotion body, established as part of the agency, to help foreign-invested companies well settle into Korea and to provide foreign investors with a full range of exclusive services from raising awareness of Korea’s business climate, running business consulting programs targeting foreign-invested companies to giving administrative assistance such as investment notification and business incorporation.
