GWANGJU < invest Korea

According to Yonhap News,

The Gwangju Free Economic Zone Authority signed a MOU to revitalize the energy industry at the Korea Battery Industry Association (KBIA) in Seoul on January 7.

The two sides agreed to make efforts to apply the second battery industry, a major pillar of the eco-friendly energy sector, to the Gwangju Free Economic Zone in keeping with the government's green new deal policy.

They will cooperate in promotion of investment attraction, sharing national and international industrial policy trends, and advising for development of the battery industry.

The KBIA, founded in 2011, is a corporation affiliated with the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (MOTIE), and has about 1,100 battery companies including LG Energy Solution and Samsung SDI as members.
