The Gwangju Free Economic Zone Authority signed an investment agreement with eight companies related to artificial intelligence (AI), hydrogen fuel cells, and energy at Gwangju City Hall on March 25.

The companies are Lala Station, World Costec, Hogreen Air, Korid Energy, Shingwang Medical, Samjin Energy, Ecofactorial, and Sambu Steel.

These companies are engaged in new industries such as s real-time communication sales (live commerce), artificial intelligence solution R&S, digital medical diagnostic devices, and drones. When they implement the agreement, they are expected to KRW invest 53.5 billion and create 220 jobs.

Gwangju-si plans to speed up the creation of an investment environment based on the GFEZ Authority, the national artificial intelligence cluster, and the data center.
