According to Yonhap News,

The Gwangju Free Economic Zone Authority (GFEZA) announced on April 26 that it had signed an investment attraction support agreement with the Bank of China.

At the proclamation ceremony of the 8th Korea-China Economic Cooperation Forum held in Seoul, in commemoration of the 30th anniversary of the diplomatic relations establishment between Korea and China, the two sides promised cooperation for stepping up attraction of businesses in the Gwangju Free Economic Zone (GFEZ) and the development of regional strategic industries.

Established in 1912, the Bank of China is the world's fourth largest bank based on total assets as ranked by Standard & Poor's (S&P), an international credit rating agency last year, and has more than 10,000 branches in 62 countries.

The GFEZA showed expecation of close cooperation for Chinese business investment, based on the bank's strong global network.
