Gwangju-si signed an investment agreement with five artificial intelligence (AI) related companies in the City Hall on July 15.

The companies signed the agreement are Transcosmos Korea, Pentatonic, BNS Global, Elgen, and AIBiz.

They agreed to establish an AI data-based marketing lab in Gwangju by 2025 by investing KRW 10.8 billion through a consortium led by Transmos Korea.

Transcosmos Korea pledged new investment following an investment agreement with Gwangju-si in February for an AI contact center with a capacity of 1,000 seats.

Pentatonic develops AI contact center software, BNS Global operates computer rooms for the banking sector and government-invested institutions, Elgen specializes in AI customer service, and AIBiz specializes in AI smart kiosks.
