Gwangju public delivery app Wemakepo is a delivery service launched in July last year to alleviate the burden of brokerage fees for small businesses and increase sales.

In the past year, it recorded about 7,500 affiliated stores and 522,700 cumulative transactions.

Compared to January last year, 6,300 stores are newly affiliated, and cumulative sales recorded KRW 13.4 billion.

Gwangju City analyzes the brokerage fee of Wamakepo, which is 2% of sales and a lot less than that of private apps(6.8 to 12.5%) led the affiliated stores' operating profit increases.

Gwangju plans to expand support for small businesses, such as franchise delivery fees support and issuance of coupons for affiliates, and expand policy support, such as hosting citizen-participating events.
