According to Yonhap News,

On Nov. 23, the photonics Convergence Industry Exhibition and Conference 2022, in which innovative technologies and products are presented in one place, was launched at KimDaejung Convention Center in Gwangju.

Marking its 20th anniversary this year, the event will showcase light scanners, light sensors, transparent displays until Nov. 24, with the participation of 122 leading & promising enterprises and 16 supporting institutions.

On the sidelines of the event, there will be programs such as employment promotions for jobseekers, job position briefings, programs offering employment information, symposiums, and technology seminars as well.

Gwangju City Mayor Kang Ki-jung said, "A mining industry (in the region) has been able to advance over the past two decades thanks to the efforts many companies had taken in," adding, "Now it is high time that AI, self-driving cars and other new industries be added to Gwangju's leaping as a hub for photonics convergence industry."
