Gwangju city Seeks Participants in Its G-Unicorn Project

Gwangju announced on July 9 that it is accepting submissions for G-Unicorn project that is designed to nurture unicorns among Korean startups.

As the first event this year, G-Unicorn will provide domestic startups with outstanding potential and capabilities various supports, such as commercialization funds, up to KRW 200 million and opportunities to advance into foreign market, attract investment, and participate in open innovation.

Those eligible to submit an application are venture businesses whose cumulative funding raised for the last 5 years is over KRW 500 million and that have their headquarters,, regional offices, branches or R&D centers located in Gwangju.

Startups can submit an applicant until July 21, and 5 of them will be selected by the city.
