According to Yonhap News,

A system will be established to test and verify the performance of domestic semiconductors in the AI Data Center, a key facility of the Gwangju AI Industrial Convergence Complex.

According to the the Artificial Intelligence Industry Cluster Agency (AICA) on September 25, the project to build the system to test and verify the performance of AI semiconductors will be carried out based on the expertise of the Telecommunications Technology Association (TTA), in order to create the environment required to secure independent technology and demonstration cases necessary for commercialization of domestic AI semiconductors.

TTA is an institution that works on standardization and domestic and international official test and certification on the information and communication technology (ICT) fields encompassing AI, Cloud, Data, and the Internet of Things (IoT).

Most of the domestic AI semiconductors are in the pre-commercialization stage, and sufficient verification of compatibility with the existing systems, stability, and comprehensive performance is essential to enter the market.

The AICA expected that the establishment of the verification system will provide an environment that tests various functions one-stop and relieve the investment burden on manufacturers.
