"KEET 2024 (Korea Environment & Energy Trade fair)", which introduces new and renewable energy technologies and environment protection products, kicked off at Kimdaejung Convention Center in Gwangju on August 28.
At the opening ceremony, attended by Gwangju mayor and Gwangju City Council chairman, among toehrs, a performance of "eco-friendly flower planting" was held to celebrate the opening of the event.
KEET 2024, which will be held for three days, will introduce technologies and policies encompassing Environment, Social, and Governance, the key elements of ESG values focused on response to climate change, transition to eco-friendly energy, and sustainable development.
In addition, the fair also features wast plastic pot making, environment experience education, and upcycling products, in advocation of an exhibition without disposable products.
It has expanded its participation to local middle-market enterprises from this year, away from the focus on public enterprises. As a result, a total of 265 companies will introduce the latest energy technologies and environmental protection products.
