According to Yonhap News,

DH Autoware, an automotive electric parts producer, will invest KRW 100 billion in a specialized complex for self-driving car materials, parts, and equipment in Gwangju.

Gwangju-si, DH Autoware, and KT signed an MOU for a specialized complex in parts, materials, and equipment at the Kim Daejung Convention Center in Gwangju on August 27.

Having been designated as a specialized complex in parts, materials, and equipment in July last year, Gwangju-si decided to develop specialty in sensor, control, and communication technologies.

DH Autoware will participate in the control, while KT will participate in the communication.

DH Autoware will invest KRW 100 billion in Gwangju's specialized complex in parts, materials, and equipment by 2028, developing and mass-producing automotive electric parts of automotive cars.

KT plans to raise the localization rate of parts, materials, and equipment in the telecommunications sector to 70 percent by 2030.

DH Autoware is currently operating an automotive jig producing company of 7,895㎡ of a total floor area in Gwangju Bitgreen National Industrial Complex.

With a decision to relocate the automotive electric parts division of the Pyeongtaek plant in Gyeonggi Province, it purchased an additional 14,916㎡ in Gwangju Bitgreen National Industrial Complex.

When the plant begins operation in March next year, it will hire 200 new local talent.
