According to Yonhap News,

D-Air, a drone company based in Gwangju, and United Aircraft, a Chinese unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) manufacturing company, will be speeding up to establish a joint venture in Gwangju.

According to Gwangju Techno Park (Gwangju TP) on October 23, President of Gwangju TP, CEO of D-Air, and Vice Chairman of United Aircraft signed an MOU at KINTEX in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, promising to establish a joint venture in Gwangju to revitalize the future mobility industry and provide necessary support.

Previously, D-Air and United Aircraft agreed in September to invest KRW 10 billion over three years to establish a joint venture in Gwangju.

Under the MOU, Gwangju TP promised to provide support for administrative affairs and market development after the establishment of the joint venture.

The Gwangju Bitgreen Industrial Complex is under consideration as the potential factory site, and they plan to manufacture industrial drones and UVA and jointly develop UAM.

President of Gwangju TP said, "Gwangju is the best place to nurture the future mobility industry as it attracted a world-class national AI data center and a specialized complex for future car materials, equipment, and part in high-tech district 3."
