According to Yonhap News,

On January 15th, Gwangju-si announced that its 15 local companies had conducted 371 export consultations totaling USD 57 million at CES 2025, the world’s largest consumer electronics and information communication technology (ICT) exhibition.

Eight companies, including Inviz, Soltech, InDJ, and Aunion AI, secured one export contract and 14 business agreements, laying the foundation for overseas expansion.

The city showcased regional technology by operating two exhibition spaces, the ‘Gwangju Pavilion’ and the ‘Gwangju Booth within the Integrated Korean Pavilion,’ at the ‘CES 2025’ event held in Las Vegas from January 7-10.

The 'CES 2025,' which centered around 'Artificial Intelligence (AI),' featured over 4,500 institutions and companies from more than 160 countries.

During the exhibition, the Gwangju Pavilion attracted 6,270 visitors.

Gwangju-si, which is focusing on the development of the AI industry, believed that the exhibition has served as a venue for introducing its newly developed AI products and technologies to the global market and for sharing innovations with global big tech companies, which will help accelerate further growth.

Notably, among the participating local companies, six companies, including GhostPass, won the Best Innovation Award, and were recognized for their innovative technologies on the global stage.

It is expected that these results will lead to further success in expanding overseas sales channels and fueling exports of local companies.

Following the exhibition, Gwangju-si and the Gwangju Information & Content Agency plan to explore support measures, as many of the companies are expected to sign product supply agreements with overseas buyers, leading to additional successes.
