According to Yonhap News,

On March 12, the city of Gwangju announced that it will run the 'Outstanding Talent Recruitment and Excellent Experienced Professionals Wage Support Program' until the end of the year to help attract talented individuals to startup companies.

The program targets companies that have been established for less than 7 years in Gwangju and either hire new talent or maintain the employment of existing skilled professionals.

For the support for recruiting talented individuals, a total of around 20 people will be recruited. Companies that hire professionals with experience in the related industry for 3 years or longer or those with a master's or doctoral degree in this year will receive 70% of the annual salary (up to KRW 35 million) as support.

For the support of experienced professionals, a total of 30 people will be recruited, and companies will receive up to KRW 6 million for the salary increase of experienced professionals who have worked in the startup for 2 years or longer.

Companies wishing to participate can check the details on the websites of Gwangju-si or Gwangju Technopark.

An official from Gwangju-si stated, "We will continue to discover support programs to help local startups grow steadily."
