According to Newsis,

Gwangju-si is launching collaborative projects to help artificial intelligence (AI) companies that have relocated to the region grow together with local businesses.

On March 6, Gwangju-si announced that it held a "Next-generation Intelligent Semiconductor-based On-device AI Scale-up Valley Development Project Technology Briefing" at the Kim Dae-jung Convention Center.

The event was organized to lay the foundation for incorporating the technology of semiconductor design (fabless) companies, which Gwangju-si has attracted, into products of local demand companies to produce new products.

The technology briefing was attended by fabless companies like Aim Future, Mobilint, and Supergate, which introduced their AI semiconductor products.

Local demand companies such as NH Networks, Hogreen Air, Dr. K Healthcare, Alphanox, Duyoung Industries, Intflow, and Witches will collaborate on joint research and partnerships to develop new products and innovations using the AI semiconductors from fabless companies.

Based on this briefing, Gwangju-si plans to support the expansion of AI-based solutions in various fields by demonstrating semiconductor technologies from fabless companies. Furthermore, the city will lead digital innovation and support the production of competitive products through the convergence of AI and intelligent semiconductors.

An official from Gwangju-si said, "Gwangju-si provides the optimal environment for the growth of AI companies and is committed to ensuring unlimited opportunities and resources for innovative companies. With over 260 companies entering into agreements with Gwangju to relocate to the region, we will continue to support these companies' growth."
