On May 26, the city of Gwangju announced that the “2025 Gwangju Food Fair ” will take place at the Kimdaejung Convention Center on May 29-June 1.

Under the theme “Sustainable Advancement of Gwangju's Food Industry Together with the Region,” the Fair will feature around 300 companies showcasing products across 450 booths, including agricultural and sea foods, food machinery, processed and frozen foods, and café & bakery items.

To encourage participation by citizens and tourists, a variety of events will be held, such as an eco-friendly K-Food startup cooking show, a Gwangju signature dish cooking contest, a baking competition, a beer festival, and a flea market.

To support market expansion for food companies, the Fair will also host an export consultation session (with 24 buyers), a domestic distribution consultation session (with 25 MDs), and a venture capital investment consultation session.

Special exhibition zones will include the Gwangju-Daegu Dalbit Alliance Pavilion (18 companies), the Local Traditional Cuisine Pavilion (6 companies), , the Local Government Pavilion (Jeonnam and Jeju Group Pavilion, 16 companies), and the International Pavilion (19 companies).

The Fair will be held in conjunction with the Gwangju Liquor Tourism Festa and the Tea & Cafe Show, offering visitors a rich and engaging experience.
