According to Yonhap News,
The "2025 Gwangju ACE Fair (Asia Content & Entertainment Fair)," the largest domestic content-focused exhibition hosted by Gwangju-si and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, will be held on August 28-31 at the Gwangju Kim Dae-jung Convention Center.
Celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, the ACE Fair will be held under the theme "Invitation from Gwangju: Beyond the Paradigm"
This year’s exhibition will showcase various new programs, including a 20th-anniversary theme exhibition, immersive experiences with extended reality (XR) technologies, investment consultation meetings, and a youth AI (Artificial Intelligence) content competition, presenting trends in the future content industry.
The 20th-anniversary theme exhibition will begin with a prologue that offers an overview of the growth of Gwangju's content industry over the past 20 years, followed by three fusion exhibits: Character & Animation, Broadcasting & Webtoon, and Digital Content.
Notably, the Digital Content exhibit will feature an XR experience by NEWJAK, a company specializing in XR technologies, offering visitors a special experience.
This year, 400 companies (368 domestic and 32 international) will participate with 507 booths, with local companies such as Studio Button, Ultra Green, Pingo Entertainment, and Ice Cream Studio running booths focused on character and animation.
Thanks to the high popularity of K-content, approximately 200 buyers from 32 countries will attend, while domestic content companies like Kakao, KBS Media, SBS Medianet, and MBC will also participate.
In addition to business consultations with overseas buyers, various events will be organized to promote practical outcomes, such as investment meetings aimed at helping local content companies expand internationally.
