On September 1, Gwangju-si announced that the '2025 Gwangju ACE Fair' generated results worth approximately USD 10.68 million.

Celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, ACE Fair was held from August 28-31 at the Kim Dae-jung Convention Center, with participation from 400 companies across 33 countries and over 200 buyers.

During the event, 1,523 business consultations were held, and 44 memorandums of understanding (MOUs) and contracts were signed, totaling USD 10,679,903 in business outcomes, paving the way for global market expansion.

Notably, the 'Investment Attraction Consultation' event, which involved 12 global venture capital firms and accelerators, was introduced for the first time. This event supported content companies in securing funding and exploring overseas markets.

The event featured themed exhibits highlighting Gwangju's content industry history, character and animation zones, broadcasting and webtoon zones, and a digital content zone, which received positive responses from citizens and visitors.

Side events included an illustration fair, creator seminars, a cosplay contest, and a goods market, engaging participants from various generations.

The first 'Youth AI Content Competition' was also held, where teenagers showcased creative ideas utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) technology.

An official from the city stated, "ACE Fair has become a stepping stone for Gwangju's leap as an Asian hub city for cultural content, leading the global expansion of K-Content."
