On October 29, Gwangju-si announced that it hosted an "Overseas Buyers Group Export Consultation Meeting", together with the Gwangju-Jeonnam Regional Headquarters of the Korea International Trade Association, on October 28.

Taehyun Food, a local company processing and manufacturing local food into convenient meals, signed an MOU worth USD 300,000 with Malaysian distributor Kormala N Sdn Bhd.
PadoTada, a healthcare and food tech company, signed an MOU worth USD 400,000 with a buyer from Kazakhstan, Collagen_kz.
In the beauty sector, Hakyung Cosmetic, a company specializing in skin exfoliation products, signed an MOU worth USD 300,000 with Turkish buyer Limonian Turkey.
In addition, numerous buyers from Kazakhstan, Japan, Vietnam, and other countries expressed strong interest in entering the Gwangju market, particularly in the food and beauty sectors.
An official from Gwangju-si stated, "We expect that the exchange of Gwangju's promising K-brand products with overseas buyers will expand the overseas market presence of local export companies and inject vitality into the regional economy."
