The exhibition showcasing products from medical and beauty companies in the Gwangju region led to a contract worth KRW 1.295 billion.

The '2025 Gwangju Medical-Beauty Fair ' held at the Kim Dae-jung Convention Center from October 30 to November 1, was participated by a total of 115 companies and institutions in the fields of medical, healthcare, beauty manufacturing, and services from the region.

During the export consultation and business matching programs, 24 buyers, including 18 domestic and 6 international buyers, participated and conducted 142 consultations with 47 small and medium-sized enterprises, totaling KRW 6.5 billion. As a result, contracts worth KRW 1.295 billion are currently in progress.

Additionally, makeup demonstrations, skin diagnosis experiences, perfume and hand cream making, and health and diet consultations held at the event attracted participation from visitors.

Nambu University, Donggang University, and local start-ups also operated nail art experiences, face painting, and scalp diagnosis.

Gwangju-si plans to strengthen follow-up support to enhance the technological capabilities and market competitiveness of local businesses based on this industrial exhibition.

The city will also implement policies to support the entire industrial ecosystem, including resolving business challenges, expanding distribution channels, supporting overseas marketing, and nurturing specialized talent.

The city's deputy mayor said, "This year's Gwangju Medical-Beauty Fair was an opportunity to confirm the potential of local companies. We will strengthen overall support systems, including technology development, market access, and talent cultivation, to ensure the growth of the local medical and beauty industry."
