The organizing committee of 2015 Gwangju Summer Universiade said on April 18th it completed the action plan, aimed to complement the master plan in 21 areas. The master plan was confirmed last year.

The action plan covers all operation areas such as athletes’ quarters, workers, supplies, transportation, medical doping, media, protocol, international cooperation, safety control, cultural events, admission management, IT system, etc. as a standard operation plan. The 6,500-page plan is very extensive.

The plan was written by the operation personnel of Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics, officials of the Seoul Olympic Organizing Committee, members of International Sports Press Association, and about 20 experts in the marketing and promotion sectors. They predicted how the event will be run and changes in the next four to five years to draw practical and professional plan.

It is notable that the organizations, human resources, and supplies were categorized and made into codes from the preparatory plan to the actual operation.

Also, the plan contains the business scope at the field, preparations, business flows, and measures to deal with any events.

An official of the organizing committee said “in order to prepare for and operate 2015 Gwangju Summer Universiade, you have to set up a master plan and then plans for specific operation, competitions, and venues,” and added “we plan to focus on CPM and VOP.”
