According to Yonhap News,
Kwangju city said that it is operating a support team for helping small- and medium-sized companies from June in order to address difficulties of SMEs.
The support team is composed of 5 staff members. They visit business sites including industrial complexes every week, and help SMEs resolve the issues regarding financing, technology development, recruiting of talented human resources, and market entry.
They also help SMEs to do management consulting business, and reward SMEs that show a good performance.
The city official said that Kwangju city will make utmost efforts to help SMEs to innovate technology and enhance competitiveness.
