Gwangju Concluded an Agreement with a Chinese Travel Agency to Attract 1 Million Tourists

According to Yonhap News,

Gwangju City has concluded an agreement with a Chinese travel agency and Senior Sport Association for Hubei and Huan to attract one million tourists in connection with the World Yeosu Expo scheduled to be held from May 12 to August 12.

The city plans to develop a tour program visiting the Expo, Bitgoeul Senior Health Town and historic sites and to promote the program to the Chinese travel agency.

"The Yeosu Expo is a great opportunity for Gwangju to develop into the gateway city to connect to the southwest region of Korea. We are also planning to develop various tourist programs for Chinese teenagers and launch chartered flights between Gwangju and Beijing, Jiangsu, Jiangxi, Liaoning and Hubei," said an official of Gwangju.
