According to Yonhap News,

Gwangju City has unveiled its plan to build Gwangju Knowledge Center for Start-Ups to support creative and innovative ideas of individuals.

The center is designed to help individuals with creative ideas apply for the acquisition of rights for patent, utility model, design and trademark.

Plus, it will also help the individuals translate their ideas into commercial products by connecting them to small-and-medium-sized enterprises.

The city is aiming at creating 1,000 jobs by making about 40 creative ideas commercially available.

To that end, it will inject 1 billion won into the program and operate three support teams, comprised of six members.

"We wish creative ideas lead to commercial products and innovative start-ups, which will enhance competitiveness of our regional companies and create jobs," said a Gwangju official.
