According to Yonhap News,
An academic-industrial cooperative group at Chonnam National University signed a cooperation agreement with SK Hynix today to cultivate professionals in semiconductor.
Both sides have thus far selected 79 excellent students to grant scholarship and cultivate them into semiconductor experts since the establishment of the cultivation program in 2007. Among them, 33 work for SK Hynix.
This year's agreement is designed to extend the program for additional five years.
Chonnam National University chooses 20 students eligible for SK Hynix scholarship to nurture them into semiconductor experts.
SK Hynix provides financial supports for education, scholarship and internship.
"The cultivation program is a win-win strategy for both of us in that it nurtures technological experts tailored to specification of relevant companies in an early manner and expand job opportunities for students," said a faculty member of Chonnam National University.
