Gwangju Establishes Friendly Relation with Luoyang

According to Yonhap News,

Gwangju City is scheduled to establish a friendly relation with Luoyang, China next Tuesday in commemoration of the 20 years of diplomatic ties between Korea and China.

According to the agreement, both cities will strengthen mutual exchange and cooperation in economy, trade, agriculture, transportation, science & technology, culture and sports, attract investment from each other and organize seminars on economy and trade.

Gwangju will call on Luoyang to use its LED products in the large-scale development projects being planned by the Chinese city.

Luoyang, the birthplace of ancient Chinese civilization, is home to 6.94 million populations.

It has abundant underground resources and is enhancing its status as an industrial city, encouraged by its two main pillars of high-tech industrial development zone and economic development zone. Gwangju's friendly relation with the Chinese city is expected to expand economic ties between small-and-medium enterprises from both cities.
