According to Yonhap News,

Kwangju Bank was named one of the greatest workplaces for reducing greenhouse gas emissions in a non-industrial sector by the Korea Environmental Industry & Technology Institute.

The headquarter of Kwangju Bank is forecast to cut the consumption of electricity, gas and water by 8.6 percent, 14 percent and 4.5 percent, respectively, this year, as compared to the last year.

In addition, it has used 3,735 tons of carbon, 439 tons less than its allocated target of 4,174 tons in its mock carbon trading scheme.

The achievement is credited with the bank's employees who aggressively engage in the bank-led energy saving campaign by maintaining the inside temperature at 28 Celsius degrees in summer and 20 Celsius degrees in winter, not wearing ties in summer and wearing warm underclothes in winder, replacing light bulbs with energy-efficient ones, turning off computers and lights when not used and others.

"Kwangju bank is at the forefront of implementing green finance by introducing carbon green card system and supporting the photovoltaic industry," said an employee of the bank. "We will accelerate our efforts to cut greenhouse gas emissions down the road."
