Gwangju Unveils Five Polices for Boosting Exports of SMEs

According to Yonhap News,  

Gwangju City unveiled five policies to strengthen competitiveness of small-and-medium enterprises (SMEs) - enhancing management of regional products, conducting the survey on the overseas market, expanding global marketing for advancing the new emerging market, providing follow-up management services for boosting export markets, ramping up marketing efforts to facilitate exports.

To that end, the city will offer consulting services to exporters, operate an FTA utilization center, survey overseas markets, dispatch trade delegation abroad, establish export promotion funds and build business lounges.

"We lag behind other local governments in terms of export facilities," said the director general of the investment and employment bureau of Gwangju City. "We will make utmost efforts to achieve the goal of recording USD 16 billion in exports by aggressively responding to the rapidly changing global trade environments."
