According to Yonhap News,  

Korea Photonics Technology Institute will hold a seminar on Advancement of Industrial Laser at Gwangju Holiday Inn Hotel from Thursday to Friday.

Laser companies from home and abroad will participate to share information on the current industrial trend and outlook.

In particular, a study on the latest processing technology using ns, ps and fs laser, to be released in the seminar, gains much attention.

"Korea is well-known in the laser application technology, but lags behind in development of laser and core components," said a member of the institute. "The seminar will be an important opportunity to find a future direction of the domestic laser industry."
