According to Yonhap News,  

The Kimdaejung (KDJ) Convention Center ranked the first place in Korea last year in terms of utilization rate with 70.3 percent.

Last year, 24 international conferences and 32 seminars were held in the center, which is the record performance since its opening. In addition, 77 exhibitions and 910 conferences attracted 1.25 million and 123,000 visitors, respectively. The KDJ Center has surpassed 70 percent for the three straight years.

As the only international exhibition convention center in the Honam region, the KDJ center is emerging as a MICE industrial hub, which refers to meetings, incentives, conferencing and exhibitions," said an official of the center. "The KDJ center No. 2 is scheduled for completion in May. We are concentrating our efforts on launching promotion of the newly-built 3,000 seat multi-purpose hall and 14 meeting rooms."

He added, "Large-scale international events will also be held this year including the Korean Association of Medical Technologists Seminar in May, the Junior Chamber International Asia-Pacific Conference in June and the World Korean Business Convention in October."
