KITA Supports SMEs’ Overseas Marketing

The Gwangju Branch of the Korea International Trade Association (KITA) announced yesterday that it will strengthen its support for regional small- and medium-sized companies’ overseas marketing in the second half of this year.

To enhance overseas marketing capability of small- and medium-sized companies, KITA will hold seven marketing projects, including an overseas exhibition, a trade mission and exports business consultation sessions with foreign buyers, with cooperation with Gwangju city and South Jeolla Province.

KITA plans to support regional small- and medium-sized companies to participate in the overseas Korean product exhibitions which will be held in Japan and Vietnam in October and India in December. A trade mission will also be sent to Dubai and Istanbul in August by collaborating with South Jeolla Province.

Regional companies who participate in machine part exports consultation sessions for Japanese corporations which will be held in Seoul September and October and mining exports consultation sessions and the World Korean Business Convention in Gwangju will be supported by KITA.

Foreign buyers in mining and food industry will also be invited in the second half of the year, to attend two exports consultation sessions in the region.

Gwangju city and KITA have seen export consultations of USD 12.73 million and USD 3.62 million exports in the first half of this year by participating in overseas exhibitions.

KITA also showed exports consultations of USD 56.6 million and USD 51.48 million exports at overseas food exhibitions with cooperation of South Jeolla Province.
