According to Gwangju-South Jeolla branch of the Small and Medium Business Administration (SMBA) Wednesday, it and the Gwangju branch of the Small & Medium Business Corporation (SBC) dispatched a trade mission to Turkey and Uzbekistan which resulted in 69 on-site consultations of USD 17.72 million (KRW 20 billion).

Intersave, a mobile game company, drew about 20 buyers in Istanbul and signed an exclusive agency contract through negotiations for game royalty of USD 100,000.

Lume Korea, a bag and fashion accessories maker, showcased their samples at the Mega Planet in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. It received positive feedbacks from consumers, sold all their products and decided to enter the mall.

The group also visited the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey and local Korean communities to discuss support programs for small- and medium-sized companies and foreign market penetration measures.

In Uzbekistan, the group visited GKD, in which the Korea Minting, Security Printing & ID Card Operating Corp. invested, to listen to their grievances and comments on foreign transaction regulations.

Korean representatives also met with a president of merchants in the Egyptian Bazaar and visited an Uzbekistani market to seek distribution routes for Korean products.

The visit is expected to enhance local buyers’ confidence in Korean small- and medium-sized companies and export marketing. The Gwangju-South Jeolla branch of SMBA noted that it will cooperate with SBC and the Korea Trade-investment Promotion Agency to aid regional small- and medium-companies to increase their exports.
