According to Yonhap News,

(GWANGJU = Yonhap News) Gwangju Main Customs Service announced on January 21 that it will operate a permanent free trade agreement (FTA) center to provide support for local companies to fully utilize FTAs signed between Korea and other nations.

The center aims to provide support for local companies that report difficulties in utilizing FTAs due to lack of human resources and information.

The classes will begin on January 22 and will be offered on every fourth Wednesday for three hours.

It will mainly focus on three major topics of working knowledge of the certified exporter system, the utilization of FTA categories and certificates of origin inspections.

“We will actively deal with economic fluctuations and minimize the impact of such changes on local companies, and make sure that our exporting companies feel the benefit when they utilize FTAs,” said a city official.
